TNT offers basic concealed carry classes as well as advanced tactical classes. The basic concealed carry class is the class required by the state of Louisiana to apply for and obtain a concealed carry permit. Louisiana state law requires all concealed handgun permit applicants to take 9 hours of training which include (http://www.lsp.org/pdf/chInstructReq.pdf):

• One hour of instruction on handgun nomenclature and safe handling procedures of a revolver and semi-automatic pistol;
• One hour of instruction on ammunition knowledge and fundamentals of pistol shooting;
• Three hours of instruction on the use of deadly force and conflict resolution which will include a review of R.S. 14:18 through 14:22 and which may include a review of any other laws relating to the use of deadly force;
• One hour of instruction on handgun shooting positions;
• One hour of instruction on child access prevention; and
• Two hours of actual live range fire and proper handgun cleaning procedures are required as listed below: i. Live range fire shall include 12 rounds each at 6 feet, 10 feet, and 15 feet for a total of 36 rounds, ii. Each applicant or permittee must perform at least one safe reload of the handgun at each distance, iii. Each applicant or permittee must score 100% hits within the silhouette portion of a NRA B-27 Type silhouette target with at least 36 rounds.

Please note: According to La. State Police Concealed Carry Division, online classes and classes less than 9 total hours of training are NOT acceptable for aquiring a concealed handgun permit and applications will be returned to the applicant. 

The advanced tactical class is an advanced class which includes decision-making drills, movement drills, active shooter awareness, civilian awareness levels, and qualifies as the additional training required to  carry a concealed weapon in additional institutions such as places of worship. In addition to handgun classes, we also offer personal defense classes using rifles and shotguns. 

TNT instructors are all P.O.S.T. certified law enforecement agents and also certified by the NRA as pistol instructors and range safety officers. Our courses have benefited military and police veterans as well as house-wives who have never shot a gun prior to taking our course. The material is presented in a casual, but professional, classroom setting. Live-fire exercises and target shooting are conducted at our facility on our private shooting range.
